Bobbie Phoumy (pooh-mee) has been playing pickleball for over 7 years and has been a GAMMA pro for almost as long. She comes from a tennis background where she was a certified tennis pro and junior coach for over 12 years before discovering pickleball. Bobbie discovered pickleball in 2016 when she was coaching tennis at a local YMCA. A year later, she finally decided to try it out and became addicted. Her first tournament was the 2017 US Pickleball Open where she medaled in both singles and women’s doubles. Since then, Bobbie has medaled in various pro and 5.0 level events across the United States. Today, Bobbie primarily teaches pickleball as a pro at the facility she works at in Greater Houston. She enjoys teaching and being around all levels. She has experience coaching students from 5 years old to 80 years old. When Bobbie isn’t on the courts, you can find her enjoying her downtime with her furry friends and foodie adventures with her dear ones.
